Description
I had this great picture in my head after reading "Bubbles" [link] (WARNING: extremely depressing!) to lighten up the story, and I decided to make it, I loved it so much. I needed something happy to pick me up after reading that...gosh, it is SO SAD. So anyways, this took me around...5 hours? Not good at estimating time. I spent most of yesterday on and off the laptop doing this, so I animated it today. Speaking of, this piece was the first time I did:-Derpy Hooves in pixels
-Dinky Hooves in pixels
-More than one pony in one piece
-A background
-Something animated that is not blinking
Please critique this on how to improve all of these things, since they're all firsts!

Thank you! It can be a bit confusing, since it's told from an innocent filly's point of view. It's about Derpy's life as a youngster, with her abusive mother. With the muffins, the mother tries to poison her, but Derpy's father steps in and takes her to the hospital to cure her. At the end, the mother abandons Derpy.

This is very good! It seems like you're improving with every picture! I love how animated the bubbles~
Now for a critique.
The wings on Derpy look a bit strange. Maybe you can try to add more feathers, so the wings will look better. Also, her muzzle looks a bit crooked. The bubbles also, maybe you should try to use a lighter blue color? That way, they'll look a bit more like real bubbles ^^
Other than that, the picture is very good! Keep improving, you're doing great!

Yes, I just couldn't get the wings right >.> I hope there's a tutorial out there for wings or something, I'm horrible at them DX The muzzle is supposed to slant down a bit, but perhaps I did it a bit too much~? Yeah, I was thinking about changing the color but never got to it. I was too lazy Thank you! It's not quite the picture in my mind, but then again, it never is. LOL

It's not the slant that makes it look cooked, actually. I think it's the position of the nostrils and the mouth that make it look crooked.
