So anyway, it was about 1:30 AM last night and I wanted to draw. I wasn't going to be able to sleep until I did so. So I fired up my laptop and scanned through the Beast Wars pic collection I've gathered and eventually landed on a side head-shot of Depth Charge. I've been eyeing my purple chinese marker (it's like a crayon but not) and figured 'what da heck'. So I drew him. It came out surprisingly well for just being a doodle. And this time the scanner didn't ruin it, horray!
His optics were left white but I didn't like that, so I colored them in. What bugs me about this pic, though, is that there seems to be no emotion in his optics. Since his face isn't like a human's, his emotions are expressed through his voice and his optics. They seem.... dead to me. "Eyes are the windows to our soul", someone once said long ago. So it feels wrong that I can't 'feel' anything while looking at this picture. Maybe you guys can see something I can't?

Hmm... I thought a saw something but now that I just look at the eye by themselves, I can really register much emotion from them. Or, maybe it's just an emotion I can't explain too well. *shrug*

I get that problem a lot with TFs. I feel bothered when I can't feel any emotion in them. >_>; It's kindah' tricky to do, though.

H'm, not sure I can see anything in them either...perhaps, he see's Rampage, and he's doing what he does best..masking anything that the crab could torment him with?
For a doodle, it came out wonderful!
