Sweetie Belle is a DOUBTER!!I was going to wait until closer to Christmas to upload this, but it was burning a hole in my Stash.
It's a crossover between MLP and The Polar Express. I never watched this movie as a child. I was a little too old to be interested (at the time....)
But after this idea was suggested to me, I watched the film as part of my research for this picture, and I think I understand the appeal. That train was gorgeous, and it is a truly whimsical movie.
Anyway, enough gushing. I hope you like what you see.

Didn't watch the movie because it looked weird, but I did grow up with the actual storybook.

Me neither. I was not into the film when it came out. That uncanny valley was a hard sell, even for me in those days. But I looked at it as I prepared for this piece of art. It is pretty good.

The film is defiantly fantastic. You can claim it to be one of the best Christmas movies of all time, possibly even one of the best movies in general.
Plus, amazing work on the art, I'd love for someone to actually make an animation parodying it. I wonder why no one has?

Well, the uncanny valley thing still gets me a bit. But other than that, yes, I agree it's an awesome Christmas movie.

Always loved the Polar Express (and its merchandising for once) and I absolutely loved the Believe song. You did a fantastic job on this piece, from the rivet detail on the locomotive, Luna's outfit, the falling snow, and the polar sky.
