Sighing Shikamaru lay down in his bed. There wasn’t much more he wanted to do today except sleep. Though one thing would make it better. Sharing the bed with someone. Strangely enough he wouldn’t mind a certain blond exploring its comforts with him.

So when Naruto suggested a sleepover, he wasn’t adverse. In fact he secretly welcomed it but greeted Naruto’s idea outwardly with his normal frown of indifference. But the main thing was that they all had futons because sharing the bed would be ‘awkward.”

Something hard and firm hogged all the covers however. A wriggling squirming mass took up half of the bed already. He rolled accidentally onto a sprawled out arm and flinched. Covers whispered to the floor at the moment Shikamaru realized someone was sleeping in the bed now!

“Troublesome,” he grumbled, blushing deeply. A quick glance revealed a tuft of yellow hair poking out from under a distinctive black hat. What was Naruto doing in HIS bed? Not that he minded but…

Sighing, he lay back down next to the object of his crush since childhood. Troublesome blonde! Shikamaru guessed he may have gotten up sleepily to use the bathroom and made his way into here instead of into the futon.

Naruto was IN his BED. In HIS bed!

“This is going to be a long night,” Shikamaru grumbled to himself, pulling the covers over both of them.

With the blonde reposing next to him he felt a good deal warmer and a certain problem was cropping up. Even though he could rouse the blonde from slumber the Nara decided it would be too much work. Forbidden ideas bubbled up in the lazy genius’s head. This may be the only chance fate presented him to get close to his crush.

Ever so quietly he edged up close so his side touched Naruto’s and that arm was repositioned at the jinchuriki’s side. Naturally the blonde rolled over so his head rested against Shikamaru’s shoulder. The Nara wrapped one around around him so they were both nestled together comfortably in the firm mattress. Fluffy pillows and soft sheets welcomed both. A predicament twitched to life lower down but Shikamaru tried to ignore it and focus on how deliciously warm he became and how soft the bed was around him.

Naruto seemed to shift slightly so one of his legs wrapped over the Nara’s hip shortly after the lazy genius fell asleep. All he knew by instinct was that he was warm, comfortable, and the source of heat or pillow he clung to was the best. Content he shifted his weight sleepily so his front pressed to the Nara’s and his arm lay close to the genius’ side. His own crotch rubbed up against Shikamaru’s.

In the cool embrace of night neither seemed to wake from the grip of slumber.
