Oh how I love this picture. I got it just right.The beautiful creature here before you is Jeratch, 's Lupe on Neopets.
After reading over Jeratch's description, I sketched this way too much. It went from an actiony scene to a pose to just him sitting around, playing his flute.
Yes, I know. I didn't include any of his major equipment. I just couldn't draw it. By what the description said, Jera's in the action a lot. I thought it would be an interesting change of pace. And I'm sorry I forgot the scars. They came out bad too many times. Maybe it's him when he was young?
The flute is shiny stone, *laughs*

I found that the dodge/burn tool is the best for creating (in my opinion) shadows and highlights. For this one, I set the dodge tool to "highlights" at around 6% intensity, more if I want to do a metallic sheen. I then used "shadows" with the burn tool. Be careful with the burn tool on shadows, or any for that matter, cause you can overshade it.
