When I first saw Hercules on it's opening weekend in 97, I was 12 at that time. I didn't what know to expect when it came to how the characters and the monsters as I was watching, I kept thinking to myself: "Where have I seen this animation look before? it's so familiar" than when Hades gets mad at Pain and Panic for wearing Hercs merchandise and the Cyclops started terrorizing Thebes that is when I figured out. "Holy hades!" I said "that's the same scary style of art they used in Pink Floyd: The Wall!" I recognized the art style but I didn't know who Gerald Scarfe really was until after The Wall came out on DVD, that's when I really got to see the man behind the artistry in the DVD documentaries.

That is fantastic that you put two and two together like that! Great eye! I watched Hercules makings on tv at the time and I am sure they must have spoken to him, but I didn't know who he was at the time. I have always enjoyed Pink Floyd and have always known about The Wall album. But it was quite a few years after seeing Hercules that I learned of The Walls movie existence. I recorded the movie for my parents when it was on tv but I didn't actually watch it, I was busy with something else at the time and planned to watch the movie later. But it has been lost and to this day, I still haven't seen the full movie, but I have seen the animation parts though. And I have known the animation for Another Brick in the Wall Part 2 video for years. I am surprised Disney used Gerald Scarfe to help them, he just doesn't seem like an obvious choice for Disney, but he was an excellent choice! He gave them such great character designs. They really stand out.

"Go on judge, shit on him!"
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who knows that the same artist worked on both projects. Keep up the good work!

I'm going to guess by the insides that that's the "female" flower.

xD! I think you're right! For reference to help me draw the flower,I paused the Empty Spaces video and looked at the flower that looked the most frightening. lol

If my memory serves correctly, the penis flower's monster form has stamens on it.
What did I just type?
