GingerBrave turned to his sister. “Yeah Bright, what’s up?”

GingerBright was still looking at the purple meteors outside, but she responded, “Can... can I tell you something?”
Brave nodded.
“I’m...” Bright began, looking down at the windowsill.

“I’m scared. Everything that’s been going on, everyone panicking, Moonlight, Sea Fairy, and Fire Spirit all talking about some sort of battle... and now this.. it feels like... the end of the world or something.”

GingerBrave put an arm around his sister.
“Hey, it’s going to be ok. Even if this turns out to be the end of the world...”
he ruffled Bright’s hair.
“You’ll have your big brother looking out for you!”
“Hey, quittit!” GingerBright giggled. She batted her brother away, then Sighed.

“Thank you. You’re the Bravest cookie in the world”
She hugged him.
“And the best brother in the world.”

Those words began to echo in GingerBraves mind, before drowining in static with the rest of the voices of his friends calling out to him.
All he could focus on was the mangled sight of his sister in front of him.

All his bravery seemed to drip away, as the many,ed form of his sister shambled forward, all he could think about was FAILURE. YOU WHERE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT HER. YOU PROMISED HER YOU’D ALWAYS BE THERE FOR HER AND NOW LOOK WHAT YOU’VE DONE.

Frosting tears dropped down his face, as he futilely held his candy cane in front of him, his legs began to freeze and his heard filled with dread as one thought raced through his mind.
