Description
The arrival of the Power Rangers did not go unnoticed by the citizens of Coral Ridge, despite their best efforts. Like with any high school, CRHS was buzzing with rumors regarding who or what these superheroes were. However, there was no one more interested or excited than the Student Body's self proclaimed ace reporter, Sonya Abidi.

A bubbly and energetic girl, Sonya always finds a way to keep herself busy. She's talkative and tends to trail off. All of this is not helped by her ADHD. After the rangers fight several monsters in and around the school, Sonya starts to think that they may actually be students at Coral Ridge High. She then launches a massive investigation of the student body to discover who the Power Rangers are.

Will, Tariq and Rachel are currently in a tough spot. Vandora's monsters are becoming more and more difficult for the three of them to handle. This is further complicated by the fact that they haven't been able to find candidates for the two remaining Crystals due to the frequency of the monster attacks and their personal lives. This is putting stress upon all them, but Will is taking it the worst. They need to find the last two rangers before it's too late.

Eventually, Sonya concludes that Will, Rachel and Tariq must be the Rangers. She realizes that every time a monster has attacked, the three of them disappear, They hadn't started hanging out together before the rangers first showed up, and the fact that they only started appearing after Will came to the school. She decides to confront them about it.

One day, she corners Will right before a monster attacks. Rachel and Tariq manage to intercept it, but they're having a hard time fighting it. Will tries his best to get Sonya off his trail, but it's not working. He becomes more and more impatient seeing as time is of the essence and he needs to get his teammates. He soon gives up and tells Sonya the truth. She is incredibly overjoyed that she was right, but her mood changes when Will tells her the severity of their situation and that he needs to leave. She then states that she wants to do anything she can to help. Suddenly, the Yellow Power Crystal activates and bonds to Sonya. The two set off and help the other two defeat the monster. Sonya makes it clear to the others in the aftermath of the fight that their secret is safe with her and she's gonna do her best as the new ranger.

When morphed as the Yellow Ranger, Sonya fights with the Power Cutters. She can summon the Tiger Metazord.
