My motivation: I get inspired by Deviant Art, amazing artwork, youtube videos, other bits floating around on the internet....anything I find fascinating, I get ideas for new artwork from. Also, I'm motivated by my supporters and fellow deviants? It makes me so happy to see their responses to my work, and I want to work harder to make them happier. ^^
@your second point: I feel the same way. I want to be kind, and helpful, and reflected in a good way in others' eyes. I want to be someone ppl turn to for advice, and I want to be able to successfuly help them. I sometimes feel jealous as well, but I try to remedy it by telling myself that they haven't done anything to me and instead of being jealous, look up to them.
I think you are very kind actually. You're always supportive and are polite and work hard...

I have depression. My motivation is seeing other people's art work, kind of like looking up to them. I want to improve, sitting around feeling sorry for myself wont get me there. Sometimes we all feel alone/sad/unwanted/etc.
I just talk to people and stuff

My Motivation?: The round's prompt. I do belive I've turned into an OCT artist.
As someone whose art is still in it's 'developmental' stage, I've found that OCTs (such as End Run) are perfect for giving me ideas and prompts (more than I have time/engergy to put to paper/tablet). I guess for you, this could translate into making an NPC, and then participating in events at your leasure. (That last part is also why I'm considering joining the IPL).
Humanity: The Starfire-Wolf I see is already that person.
This might sound silly or repeditive, but as a friend, may I say that you seem to worry about yourself too much? And then there's the bane of the generation where it's so easy to make online friendships, the thought of making new RL ones is somewhat daunting. (Well to me at least ).
Accounts: Trust yourself.
If that's your motivation for changing accounts however, don't forget the Strong, Noble and Talented, Team Player the Wolf is. Despite being a contraction I made on a whim, I continue to go by Icytemporalist as I've grown quite fond of it and I belive it suits me. Regardless of your motivations, you are still you, regardless of what name you go by, and I'll still be around to ramble at you, making really long comments for really short journals. XD
Artist Problems:
May you remain cool, calm and collected in the face of your new equipment. I draw because I think it's fun. If the prizes are weighing too heavily on your mind, why not try sketching some more of your Nuzlocke?
Conclusion: You're not just a literal 'Star'.
Take your time. As someone wise once said 'You don't rush art'. If you need time to breathe, take it and if people get upset you can just say 'I need time for my inner muse to come back from vacation. You don't want me to make art without my muse right?'
...
or not.
And if all else fails, it's been prooven that smiling makes you happy. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

My motivations?
1) Well... if i draw well, if i show the world that i'm as good as someone who's twice my age (and i know that it's true), then my parents will finally admit that yes, i still need practice and i still have a lot of things to learn, but even now i'm good enough, and maybe i'll show it to myself;
2)Everything i do gives me at least a little bit of inspiration, and i feel really bad if i let it go without doing something;
3) There is a person of my same country that did an awesome comic but for publish it she had to go in France. When i look at her art i get hyper-motivated.
About the account thing, you should do just what you want to do.

I stay motivated to draw by listening to really perky, chipper music. Owl City a lot, because he seemingly radiates positivity. [link] [link] [link] Or anything that's catchy.
I dunno, I think you're nice and unselfish, and it's okay to take your time. ouo
Again, it's your choice. I'd personally stay with Starfire-wolf's account, but you call the shots. xD

For me personally, when one thing ceases to motivate me I don't waste time in finding another - otherwise you'd just end up stuck for some time.
Hmm, what I do when I want to boost "creativity levels" (lol) is pick up a novel that I am reading/read recently, take out a scene, and draw/paint it out as I imagine it. There's this artist (Darn it, I forgot his name.. ) who drew a cute picture from a scene in To Kill a Mockingbird, where this girl nicknamed Scout wears a ham costume, haha.
But to be honest, I think a walk in the park would do you good. I remember going to the Botanical Gardens last time I visited Singapore, and I was very relaxed. Haha, there was a short period where I was inspired by the Koi I saw! Perhaps you could go there some time? Unless it's too far..

To be honest I get my motivation just by looking at things, I see a pic on Google or on DA, and instantly I want to do something, I draw and then people I know for real are most of the time ashtonished at what I could do (they can't draw so yeah) and it helps me to get motivated just to think a friend of mine would love it if I did it and then I do it (usually he/she likes it for real)
Also artists I see here on DA gave me hope back in my drawings, you know I'm a black and white artist, colour still fails me but ~SkyeLuce gave me hope and the will to try on and become better (B&W and colour)

Uhhhm, well, I usually get my motivation from (new) music, sunshine, etc... Oh wait, that's inspiration. Uhm, I get motivated from people telling me they like my art, or what they like, or what I could try next time, etc. I find new materials really motivating as well ("I needda try this stuff :U"). Looking at my fav artists' art is the most motivating of all, though. =Culpeo-Fox 's art made me believe in my coloured pencils again. :'D

I usually get my motivation from the people I care about. As for being liked, I look up to your art skills and think you are a very kind person. Also, you needn't change accounts or your name because it would be changing who you are.
