Finally did another Puella Magi Pokemon drawing.

So here's Homura's penultimate team. You'll notice that she's missing some Pokemon from her Jr. Trainer image...well, she did go through that time loop with Celebi quite a few times. She lost her Zubat, Caterpie, and Abra at various stages and they were replaced with other Pokemon.

So first she has an Umbreon, because I liked the way that it balanced out Madoka's Espeon, and it matches her design really well. Shiny Ninetales for the sole purpose of matching her design (and I love Ninetales). A Gyarados because I think the Magikarp -> Gyarados mirrors Moemura -> Badass Homura. A Latios to match Goddess Madoka's Latias, kind of like the exchange of the ribbon that holds them together. Celebi's still there because time travel. gave me the fantastic idea to give her an Absol, because not only does it's design and Dark type match Homura, but it's Mega Evolution gets wings, much like Homura's wings at the end of the series. Thank you for that, KingKnightChaos20!

     After her first failed attempt to save Madoka, she asked Celebi to join her team, to fill one of the empty spaces left by the two Pokemon that had died. Celebi agreed. All of Homura's team that still remained came back with her through the time vortex. She joined Madoka and Mami again. At this point, they met some other trainers – Madoka's childhood friend Sayaka, who had started her Pokemon journey as soon as she turned ten, and Kyoko Sakura, a ruthless trainer that butted heads with Sayaka. Homura tried to convince the group to take another route to the second gym, but they met the Raikou anyway. Homura realized that it was stronger than the last time they had faced it, and again, everyone was killed. Homura restarted again. And again. And again. Each time, the Raikou seemed to grow stronger, and to her horror, in another time-line, a few other Legendary Pokemon joined it – in one of them, they were attacked and destroyed by Mewtwo himself.

     Was she doing something wrong? Was she actually making things worse by starting the time over over and over again?

     She decided on a new plan.

     Her Pokemon had continued to join her on the trip back and forth through time, so they continued to grow stronger and stronger, until she was even stronger than Madoka when they first met. Homura changed her strategy – instead of waiting the week for Madoka and Mami to arrive, she went straight to Team Rocket itself. Even her heavily trained team wouldn't be strong enough to destroy Team Rocket entirely, so instead, she infiltrated the group and joined it, very quickly establishing herself as a powerful trainer and even becoming an admin. She then traveled to New Bark town and convinced Madoka not to go on her journey with Mami. Despite these precautions, however, Sayaka came back into town and encouraged Madoka to join up. Mami also warned Madoka against trusting Homura, as Mami recognized her as a member of Team Rocket.

     More disasters occurred – Homura's involvement with Team Rocket led her to realize the horrible truth: the Legendaries they had been fighting weren't true Legendaries at all. Some of them were, but most of them were genetic experiments on regular Pokemon -- and even humans. She also realized that Raikou hadn't even been the first one to escape – he had just been the only one they had run into. Because Madoka had left on her journey later, she ran into an escaped Entei instead. It killed Mami – and that wasn't the last one. Sayaka was secretly injected with Team Rocket's DNA experiment during a false blood test, and she went mad before mutating into a horrible half-human, half-Pokemon creature. Kyoko managed to defeat it in a suicidal attack that killed both of them. At this point, Madoka met Jirachi, and wished to have the power to protect her friends from the enraged Pokemon. The wish helped her free and heal the Legendaries – but it killed her in the process.

     Homura started again. In the final timeline, everyone was killed, but Madoka also found out the truth about why Homura was a part of Team Rocket, and why the Pokemon were acting this way. She made a wish to keep the Pokemon from ever being captured in the first place and delete the genetic experiments entirely, and this time, it transformed her into a Legendary herself. Celebi admitted to Homura that this was the reason they had helped Homura in the first place – the Legendaries needed a human to become one of them, and Madoka was the best choice. Homura was heart-broken, but Madoka assured her that Homura would always remember her. She faded from the memories of everyone else and became a legend. Homura almost lost hope of seeing her friend again.

This was the reason why so few people ever saw Legendaries in the present timeline; because Madoka had separated them from everyone with her wish.

     But she heard the legends, about a trainer that wandered through all the regions eternally, who was always seen beside a Legendary Pokemon. The legends said that one of these Pokemon seen with her was a red, flying creature, something called a Latias. While Homura was at home, a blue creature swooped down to her. Latios appeared, hovering in front of her. Homura reached out to touch the Legendary Pokemon, and it sighed.

     Homura left her home with Latios, on a journey to find the eternal girl with the other half of the pair.
