The style of your Red Penny is very nice. It's smooth. The lineart if crisp and clean. The color scheme for Penny is very suitable and it goes together. The bird, I believe is Ben?, is very adorable, and adds a cute atmosphere to the drawing. Aside from that, I would have loved to have been a cleaner background. The tree colors are nice but it just looks like orange and pink clouds. Looking at Penny and Ben, they are nice to see, but the background causes too much of a distraction and is done very poorly in contrast with the two characters. There could have been more effort put into the background. The clouds in the sky look nice and fluffy.
Overall, the main subjects are nice, but the background could use work and practice! Other than that, Good job (:
