To me this piece speaks of finding inner clarity and definition. She is obviously deep in thought and looks as though some epiphany has occured or she is reaching some conclusion. She is looking behind the curtain suggesting an inner search in progress and perhaps there is fear too, hence the coldness of the skin as described in the poem, perhaps because of the open window which could represent new found freedom. With freedom can come new fears and the realization that the little things matter can bring forth such ambivalent emotions.

The second picture, of the tied curtain seems to be her thoughts, or the representation of her contemplations, namely the detail, the edges and the softness within the stark contrast of the black and white and the knowledge that things can be tied or untied depending on what one is wanting; ie. attention to detail and choices.

I really like it as I am studying minimalism and I think it is a great representation of this kind of stylish simplicity.
Great Stuff.

wow! First of all thank you for such a long and deep-though comment. I don't get much of them and I truly appreciate you took your time to write that down.
I love the interpretation you made. I wasn't exactly sure what I was trying to attempt when I shoot this. I didn't even thought of doing a diptic till I sit down infront of my computer. Althought the funny thing is that athought I didn't think into such an amazing detail-ish and conceptual idea behind you really captured my mood. Is like you could take out from the picture what I was feeling deep down in the bottom of my head. Reading your comment was like seeing in words what I wasn't even conscious I was feeling.
So thank you so trully much for reading into my art in such an amazing way.

Great. I'm very glad you liked my thoughts. It's perhaps the way of creativity that the artist is creating from the deep moment, and therefore it is often impossible to be completely objective or analytical of one's own work, and I think that's as it should be otherwise there would be no job for the critics eh?!
Pleased you enjoyed it.
Keep on Keeping on!

RS.
