Description This is a prize for *BlueNephelim she won a quick sketch for her honerable mention in my magic of love contest. Hope she likes it. This is her character Tommi (human water elemancer).

Its not so good and all I did was take a photo of it because the scanner ruined it. I took a few liberties with the dress tweeked it a bit to make it easier on me...bad me.

You always manage to get the poses of your sketches just right! Do you use much reference for the body shapes and positions? The expression fits it perfectly as well Wish my quick sketches came out like this!

Really? I think most of my quick sketches are crap. :/ I sometimes have refs but not usually for my quick sketches I've just studied how bodies look and move and stuff and whats realisticly possible and whats not etc.

Really. You obviously know where everything fits into the body shape and have a good mental reckoning of how it all works in different poses. It takes me lots of trial and error to get things like that looking realistic so you've definitely got your foundations down well

Nah, it takes alot of trial and error for me I really have no idea where everything works or where it all fits, I mainly know how it looks mostly on the outside, but not much on muscle structure or...innerds....bones...or anything. LOL

You do a good job of it then! It's nice to know other artists trial and error it as well :3

How are you doing in yourself nowadays? Do you still dogwalk?

stargate4ever23 In reply to dibbuns [2010-08-02 16:51:24 +0000 UTC]

Awww, thanks so much. I do dogwalk but I mainly stick to dog sitting and training these days as its real hot to walk and I prefer the other two anyway, especially the training. Its sad though because I only have one customer at the moment so I hardly make any money and the other "customers" I have only hire me very INfrequently when they need me to watch their dogs. How are you doing???

dibbuns In reply to stargate4ever23 [2010-08-04 14:33:02 +0000 UTC]

Whoo, wish it was too hot to walk here! It's rainy and cold today. Training them must be a great sense of accomplishment when they start to pick things up, did you go on a course to learn to do it or did you just pick it up from having animals of your own?
I'm doing well! I've started to feel the looming mass of age 30 bearing down on me lol, so I'm trying to come up with a decent pre-30 life plan. Conisdering taking up some new arts, like metal working and wood carving. Maybe even find someone who I can apprentice to. Reception work is keeping me busy 'til then though!

SEND US THE RAINY COLD! Trust me we waaannts it! I've never owned a dog, my dad doesn't want one. I started walking so I could be near them and then I learned training as I went and then one of the owners(whose now my good friend) baught a DVD on training that I watched through and quite liked.
Oohhh, thats good. Goals are good, but thirty isn't bad, twenties and thirties are okay. Fourty is when you'll want to start worrying. XD

YOU CAN HAVE IT! But I am having difficulty finding a parcel box large enough. Also, it's a little bit soggy.

That's cool, learning to do something like that through experience always seems to be the best route It's something you could always keep on as a money-job through your life as well which is really good.

Oooo don't even mention fourty. That is when midlife crisis will truly set in and I will end up with a motorbike and a tattoo.

Ah yes, it is. XD Ohhhh no ya don't, XD Forty aint so bad. My friend is 67 and boy would she have some things to say to you. XD

It's on its way, though customs will get a bit of a shock if they open it.

Naw, fourty isn't all that old but it's a pretty long way to have grown still. You can't say "my life is just beginning!". Which is a very good excuse for not having donw much :3 hehehe

I got it this afternoon! Unspoiled! They must have no opened it, Thank you so much. *huggle* Though, driving in it wasn't that much fun. XD Boy was it a whammy

Of course, to be more depressing you could always think of it this way, as soon as you stop growing you start dying.

Yay! Though I was half hoping for some very surprised and very soggy mailmen XD Driving in rain is always fun. Unless you're the one doing the driving. Then I imagine it would suck. We've had another batch of rain tonight but it's the fun rain. The air was warm and kinda tingly in one's fingertips earlier on and I saw a squirrel so I knew something was blowing in. That made sense, trust me.

If your toenails are still growing, does that count?

Hehehehe, they were smart enough not to open it, since you know it was required that you label it and all as a 'thunderstormsuperwhammy' and all that jazz. XD
It did? Okay.....

Only if you believe it does.
