My pixel shop for *RainCookie 's Interactive Mall Project [link]Still waiting on a reply if my shop qualifies but I was curious about pixel art so I made this in advance
Think it turned out pretty nice for a first try... Anyways, I'm still a newbie in making this kind of stuff, so let me know what you think and what could be improved in this^^

Unfortunately, I don't have OC's or a characteristic art theme to use in my shop, so I went to something more generic ^___^
But your panda shop is just sooooooooooo damn cute! And it resembles your avatar... that's so cool!

Ah but the boot look so cool! It reminds me of the disney rescuers for some reason? I think its because they are little mice and use regular things as houses and so on

I really like the level of details and the texture create for the shoe... Its a nice idea...
Can I ask you a question? What program did you use to make this? I normally use paint to make my pixel art, but sometime it falls a little short, especially if I want to animate...

Well, about your question, this was my first try at pixel art, so I dunno if I used the best tool for it. Anyways, it worked
Since I just have ImageReady to make gifs, I used Photoshop to draw the boot house because it's very easy to go from one program to the other.
So I basically took Photoshop pencil tool to draw all the pixels and kept the smoke and other animated stuff in different layers so it get's easier to animate. Then I switched to ImageReady to build the animation frames and that was pretty much it.
And man, gotta confess... I've never knew pixel art was so difficult! I'm just not used to draw pixel by pixel. It took me a while to finish this baby... I'm so glad you liked it! xD
