My imagination just passed out, therefore the title of this...
Well, I was sitting in our summer cottage with just some CDs, paper, a pencil and nothing to do. I started drawing the Sweeney Todd soundtrack's cover, then, and here's the result.

You’re welcome. I’m extremely glad that I met another Sweeney Todd fan! When the movie first came out, I made a poster for it: [link] . Both Tim Burton and Stephen Sondheim are geniuses in what they do. The musical stresses Stephen Sondheim lyrics and songwriting. However, the movie stresses Tim’s gothic and dark artistic nature. Also, Johnny Depp and Helena do some amazing character work and development, but I find that an understatement. My only qualms with the video version, is that it leaves out the opening, “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd.” I was really sad when they left that out. I went to see the film purely because it's directed by Tim Burton, I probably wouldn't have if it was directed by someone else... But it's great that it was Tim, because otherways I wouldn't have found out what great musical it is... And the film's just awesome, I actually couldn't sleep after I'd seen it just because the songs were playing in my head so loudly...
I especially love the last minute, the sight of Lucy in Sweeney's arms, blood around them and eerie music playing is so beautiful... What's your favourite part?
I love The Ballad, but I can somehow see why it wasn't played during the opening of the film. Since all the other chorus singing was dropped out, it would've been odd to open the show with a big number with so many singers. After hearing The Ballad I've been thinking that they should've played it during the closing credits, though.

You make a great point! To start off with a huge group number would be odd... for a movie. I couldn’t see the Ballad of Sweeney Todd as an opening, but I could see it at the very end. They could have used it as a finale, during or before the credits. Tim Burton is an amazing director, with a great artistic mind. I like the song Epiphany, because I love how it is staged. Also, I know what it’s like to be insomniac just because you have songs in your head. I was like that after I saw Les. Mis.
