I've had a lot of crummy Mondays in recent memory, but with this, I think I can safely say that the streak is over! This is one of the finest ways for me to start a new week that I can think of! Seriously, all I can do is stare at this piece and feel touched by the fitting use of the words that match splendidly with the inspired visuals. My aim with the poem was to encourage a woman (any woman) to feel happy about herself, and to see it here like this made writing it feel so very worth it. When I compare it to the handful of other poems I've written since I started last year, I think "Her Voice, Silent" is the one I feel the most satisfied with, and this piece only brings that to a level of near-Nirvana.
