I'm so excited for Korra! Do you have any idea how exciting it is to see a kick-ass warrior woman that is going to be THE LEAD on an amazing cartoon show that I can point to and say “Oh wow! She kinda looks like me!”SQUEEEEEEE!!!!

I am.... so mixed-feelings about this.
Since the first rumors about this had started circulating, I was excited. The first actual screenshots made me rapturous.
But.... the first full trailers and story hints make me leery. Mondern-ish cites? Motorcycles? I feel like this is drifting from "Asian Fantasy" to "Final Fantasy."
I'm still looking forward to it and will pay iTunes whatever they ask for it.... but I'm also blaming James Cameron and an insecure marketing department for the fact that this isn't called "Avatar: The Legend of Korra" (Which would make sense) an instead is going to be "Last Airbender: Legend of Korra"

The time shift and modern changed between the late 1800s to the early 1900 were really drastic and quick in world history, so the show is taking that into account.
