This is another picture that's based on a story on working on, only this one is giving me a bit more trouble. I can't decide whether I should scrap it, continue, or rewrite the whole thing and start over.

Basically the story is that single father England moves into a new apartment building with his son, America. Their apartment is across the hall from fem!France and her daughter, fem!Canada. Fem!France keeps popping by and annoying England, who at first thinks her constant intrusions are her way of nitpicking at his parenting, but then starts to think that she's hitting on him. Meanwhile America and fem!Canada are becoming friends, which complicates England's attempts to stay away from fem!France.

The thing that's really giving me trouble is the pacing. I feel like the story is moving too slow, but at the same time I want to set up the dynamic well without having them seem thrown together.

What do you all think? Is this a story you'd like to read? Should I keep writing or move on to something else?

As a side note, I really don't like the outfit I put Canada in. I think it's the maple leaf. The second I drew it, I instantly regretted it. I guess it just makes the outfit feel so typical for Canada
