Even before coming home following my graduation, my brother and I have been, as my mom described it, Zelda'd out! For good reason, too, because he's been enjoying Tears of the Kingdom tremendously (he just completed it two days ago), and I've just restored my first Devine Beast while also getting back to Skyward Sword in hopes of completing the story.

Out of the blue, an image came to my head to feature different incarnations of Link, and even Sonic, all standing together, since this month is Sonic's birthday. As I was drawing out the image, I realized that having both Sonics and Links together might make things a bit overwhelming, so instead, I had the four incarnations wear tunics based off of the games I have played so far (Breath of the Wild, Wind Waker & Minish Cap, Skyward Sword, and Twilight Princess respectively). (Oh! Remember the Zelda Zone in Sonic *Cough!* Lost Wo- *Cough!*) The inclusion of the Triforce, Goddess Pearls, and Chaos Emeralds were also a must to tie back into the games as well.

Curious about the title? Well, about a week or two ago, my family and I sat down together to watch The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The song for The Fellowship of the Ring performed by Enya made me think about how Link's incarnations leave their homes, undergo a ton of trials, and fulfill the promises of the Goddesses Din, Farore, Nayru, and Hylia to to banish darkness (Mornie alantie...) A very similar journey partaken by our halfling hero Frodo Baggins...

Sonic the Hedgehog, The Legend of Zelda, and The Lord of the Rings are all three really strong contributions to my childhood, with those adventure that take viewers, readers, and gamers across fantastic worlds, develop unforgettable friendships, and ignite the path of a brighter future. When you put down the book or the controller, it doesn't stay down for long, because those are the kind of worlds you just want to come back to and relive those adventures, those emotions, and see those friends again... that's what makes them so special to us...

All that being said, I'm really happy about how the artwork came out. I hope you guys like it as well.
