I used Joann's Classic Knit Interlock in cornflower blue. I then dyed it a bit purpler (which you could do in the wash), and then sewed it up. Then my friend did all the patters on the hem with a stencil and paint.

Boo, I've had bad luck with dyes so far! At least I do know knits are good for it, and that interlock knit is a good option. The closest thing online I've been able to find is this [link] :\

That looks pretty good, though maybe a bit on the purple side.
Oh! I forgot to mention, at least the knit from Joann's is super thin, so you'd want a layer of some plain knit (I just used a long black dress from a second hand store). I dunno how thick the knit you linked is, though. Just something to keep in mind.

I am not sure! I found a lighter color of it on the same website since they just did some restocking I guess. It was pretty cheap so I found up ordering it. Sadly it's a different type of knit so I doubt it will look how I want it, but at least it will make for a good test run with the pattern I have.
