I thought that maybe she always lived in a "controlled" environment all her life on her own planet. Like, the weather being controlled by a machine and stuff like that. And when Susie decides to live on Popstar, she experiences the full beauty of wild nature. Though, perhaps it was surprising at first (and maybe a little scary) But she learns to love life uncontrolled and living it honestly and peacefully.
I think it's obvious that I REAlly want Susie to live happily on kirby's planet. 
Also, I actually got a Bird to sit on my hand once like that!!! Β
