We stood forever, we were children,waiting for our lives to come.
We stood forever, we were children,
living slowly, creeping along, seeing in the next mirror
our future selves that never lived long.
We were happy, we played in the snow!
We rolled down hills and through the woods
and we didn't want to grow up, because we knew...
we knew! we knew! we knew it would be like this
my forests are burning.
We cried aloud, we cried in pain,
we cried to soothe the coming tide, for we knew
that time soon came to take our crying away
and put us in suits
and comfort our mothers
We stood forever, we were fucking children!
we were scared of swears, we were scared little shits
we were, forever, free.
Then what happened? Answer me!
Then what happened? We lived our lives and our dreams
no longer became reality. Our dreams didn't come true.
Our dreams slowly faded into the setting sun, and our dreams
died. Dead, dead, dead. Our lives we lived
through imagination defied us by never coming true.
No genie have I ever met, nor forest sprite,
nor have I wielded a sword of destiny,
nor have I awoken one day to find myself completely strange and new
never have i experienced that slight joy
that small hope
that tiny prick of light
i have never had a dream fufilled.
My dreams have been adjusted, my view has changed,
but i have never flown, I have never fought,
I've never been given that simple chance to be something
extraordinary.
My forests have burned.

I like it, especially the ending I like that line.
Nice describtion of what everybody goes through in life, it relates to some people more than to others I guess.
I read the whole thing with a sense of irony and a little grin on my face, cause after all it might be an extreme describtion but it's true.
I normally never say this but I would try to get rid of the typos and look good at the build up of some sentences. Because that would make it read and look even better.
But it's still worthy of a favo in my opinion!
