Description Poster for French Project, we have to present our favorite book. I admit, I read this one every year for the fun of it even though I don't have much time to read books. Anyway, made in 5 hours or something, I don't have the time to fix the errors and detail it... I'll probably give this to the school librarian since she wanted me to draw her something before I graduated out of school. Argh, so stressed, probably the most stress I've ever had to experience

But I have to stay strong

Oh God, help me OTL

Made in watercolor on a cheap dollar store brand card stock, btw. About 22"x28" dsjfhilugs

This is really nicely done! I love your rendition of the pilot. Nobody ever draws him

I, too, love that book.

You did a nice job. I had to do lots of stuff of that nature when I took French last year, too. It was like Grade 4 again. xD

I like how the rose takes up so much of the image, and I think that's the first time I've ever seen anyone even try to draw the pilot. The colors look amazing! :B

What does "OTL" stand for, by the way? I see it all the time, and I don't know. D:

Aww wow, thank you SO much for all your comments ;__; <3 You're a sweety.

OTL Is like a stick figure XD Imagine the O as the head, the T as the arms and L as the legs. It's some sort of "I am defeated" position ;D

Your stuff sort of built up in my inbox; I didn't want to delete it because I liked it, so I just commented on all of it in one go. You're welcome! I really like your art. :>

Oh! They're like, down on their hands and knees. I see. xD

I really like this book. I read in English and French.

This is a pretty painting. I love how the colors turned out on it and how certain parts seem to shine.

no prob and hey i think good art deserves this sorta treatment, especially when i see mine as, although they convey my mesage, well.. not that great i guess.. compared to other artists i mean

Ah, well... Maybe it depends on the subject you're drawing. Some can portray something a bit better than other artists due to experiences or sentiments towards it. Who knows XD

I've never read Le Petit Prince, unfortunately.
have you ever read Kino no Tabi? One of the critics said that it was refreshing like LPP... I'm not sure about that, but I do know that Kino No Tabi's pretty good c:

Kino No Tabi, ehhhhhh? I better go and fetch it from the library or something when I get the time 8) I need to practice reading big time anyway, stupid college admission exams require a freakingly good reading comprehension skill lol

Thats odd. Recently I've been craving anything from this book. I love it! The prince seems a bit old though.

starshock12 In reply to Kathisofy [2007-11-20 02:17:39 +0000 UTC]

Imagine him being... 100 years older in this version. ;D I never seem to draw child's profiles quite right lol

I'm sure the prince's soul is is over 100... however since he did "technically" die physically, we cant say anything about his age. Just that he was wise beyond his years.
