I really wish I was better at drawing humans...his legs look so...messed up. -.-

This is my entry to AVA contest. The first theme was songs, and the one I was given was Over My head by The Fray. At first I had no clue on what I was going to draw for the song. But then after listening to it almost two days straight, I payed attention to this part of the lyrics
And suddenly I become a part of your past
I'm becoming the part that don't last
I'm losing you and its effortless
Without a sound we lose sight of the ground
And I just drew from there.

The Explanation - This boy is racing towards the girl who is constantly on his mind and wants to fix what he has done. But before he knows it his eight seconds in overtime are over and he is simply slipping into her past as the ground below is breaking apart. Yet he still tries to reach her, even though he knows that before he reaches her, he will simply be another memory that will soon be forgotten. I felt that this song is about how a man had everyone he loved give up on him and yet he still had that one special lady stuck in his head and he wanted to simply talk to her once more. But even as he tried it was futile since the ground below just kept slipping away and his very essence was dissolving. Yet he kept trying.
