Cosplay: Rose Lalonde - Velvet Squiddleknit Dress [Homestuck]Finally, a picture of Rose!
A few weeks ago, I went to the Renaissance Faire with some friends, and being the cosplay nerds we are, we all felt obligated to dress up. I really wanted to see if I could get a few pictures of Rose, even if they did turn out a little derpy, and I did at least get this one before my camera went and died!
I stitched the dress for Otakon 2011 (did you see me?), and wore it there both Friday and Saturday.
The dress overall took me about two days to put together, which I think is my fastest sewing job yet! Stitching all of those stripes together took a ridiculously long time...

I was in a group of maybe 10 people this time, and it was awfully fun. We were all freezing though, because we picked that one freezing weekend, haha!

I had originally intended to sew something entirely new for the Faire, but then I realized that wearing this would be a lot better than sloppily rushing through something new. I was surprised at how well things worked out too! xD

Well, if you're interested in doing a group cosplay, we're doing Code Geass for starters. Star Driver might have a mini!group, and I know we'll have a mini!group of Tales of _____ somewhere in there.
I know a few people cosplaying Pokemon, why not try that?

Tales of ______ is just the series name, some of the games are Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss, Tales of Vesperia... I haven't played it, but I know *Jello1492 and ~EisaShultzie are planning to cosplay from it.
