My 8th Commission in DA and quite old already, but finally completed. ^^
Ok...this commission was really an adventure in all matters...
First: I got wrong the request she made at first... As you all know, I don't accept fanart as a commission due to the fact it's illegal...and already gave problems to some members here in DA and which I also want to avoid... But due to a misunderstanding and the fact I accepted it, after discovering that she wanted Sasuke from Naruto Shippuden and not an OC like I thought at first (and that you can see him in my WIPS here: [link] and here: [link] ), I had to do it and only accept the money for Kim. Sasuke Uchiha was free, but only in this case due to the misunderstanding caused by the lack of references...
Second: Drawing a darn room is not so easy like it looks...xD And their poses were a pain... Since this commission already have some months (since February if I'm not wrong) I found a LOT of anatomy "errors" (that in that time they looked ok for me but not now lol) and had to correct them, with the addiction of changing the character completely.
But, even tho it's still a drawing that contains some details from the old style I had in that time, I'm still proud of it... I love this kind of scenes and it helped me a lot in making backgrounds.
Basically, Sasuke is helping Kim to eat while holding since she's a very sick person... After hearing this request, it's obvious that for a man to do this for a woman, it have to exist a lot of love and a beautiful devotion for such task. ^^ And yes, she asked me a different outfit for him consisted in a black outfit.
But what made me really annoyed was the fact that the darn Sasuke doesn't look like him!
He looks more Itachi...>< But I may give him some justice in the future, who knows... For now he have to be kept this way...Oh and...Kim is Nagato's daughter.
Well...I guess that's all... Even tho I'm slowly updating my gallery with old half-made drawings only at this moment, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless...

Well, in the manga Sasuke and Itachi look the same, except for the lines in Itachi's face ^^ Is only natural for Sasuke to look like his older brother if he had his hair long

As for Sasuke, well, you're right...but I still think I hadn't made him justice even tho he looked really like him when I experimented to draw his real hair-style. xD But yeah, I guess it was that intention that the commissioner wanted in it. ^^ An older Sasuke's version!

Well, fanart is not a crime, what makes them to act sometimes is the fact that we're gaining money at their costs. As for magazines, they don't have any kind of problems since they have the authorization of making news about any game or anime due to the fact they're certificated companies... Besides, they usually use official artworks from certain game or anime they're talking about...
We're...simple humans getting the profit of their characters...=/ And that's why some comes upon us... A member once had to delete all her fanart commissions because was accused of copyright... Once I read her journal I was like: "WTH?"
With her journal, she even posted this quote:
"Fan-art of copyrighted characters has no legal protection. If you draw Simba or Nala or Kovu, you are creating a derivative work-- something that U.S. law explicitly defines as being owned by the creator of the original work. Without Disney's permission, all fan-art and fan-fiction using their characters is in fact illegal. This seems like quite a difficult commission but I think you handled it splendidly, Sophi! <3 There are so many small things that catch my eye in a good way like the curtains and how they look realistic due to the shading and folds and the painting too - it looks like its properly on the wall which is hard for me so kudos to you.XDD
The poses seem super hard but I think you did well! Kim is really cute, I love how you drew her hair especially though her expression is very nice, too. And Sasuke, though my Naruto knowledge is fairly non-existent, turned out pretty awesomely too!

Well indeed... First Sasuke is more seen with his typical short hair and then, he's always with those empty/annoyed/mad expressions... So, making his this different he almost looks like Itachi or someone else...>< Now seeing this fact... Can you imagine how much a person becomes different by just changing the hair style? o.o My...
And who knows...maybe he still has that deadly intention to kill the girl like he does in the series...xD But who knows? He might be a good boy here now...
