Anemia, huh? My mother has anemia. She tells me that it is not all that serious, just when you have low iron in your blood. But you already mentioned that. I'm glad it's not anything truly serious. But yes, I suggest that you do be careful so this won't happen again.

Serious is always serious... Sometimes the deceases that comes from below are the danger ones... Believing or not, Anemia is a health problem that can steal your life...<_< And as I said and responded to some other people, it depends of what kind of Anemia it is and at the time it's diagnosed. There are simple types that doesn't evolves that quickly but there are others which can even take you to leukemia!

My treatment was not only based in Iron... I had to make my blood to be stronger than how it was... Basically my blood was starting to get very weak, and since my defenses tends to get low and vitamins strength was almost nonexistent, it brings you more danger.

If a doctor hugged you happy for the result and everything, you can imagine that it wasn't that simple as many people think of it...

Tell to your mother that Anemia is not so simple as she looks at... I had the same impression as her and when I saw the diagnosis saying that I had it, I was completely tranquil until I check my doctor and he says that my situation could bring higher complications... I could even need blood transference! And in some of those cases sometimes our body doesn't accept it and we can even die due to it.

Plus, if my treatment wouldn't result, I could even get a chronic Anemia! I have a...humm...how to say in english... Medium? Not completely safe, nor always with the disease... But yeah not really chronic so far thank goodness... It's something I need to be careful to be with my entire life, but so far is still not one that I need to get treatments every day. At least for now as my doctor says, but I hope it's forever! O_O Which is a high possibility if I have my eyes open! :3

And so these are actually the reasons of him to say that it was a luck to get it diagnosed this soon...;_;

But since everything went positive, I'll be sure to actually live my days intensely than before. <3

Well, I did know that it would kill you if it does become that way if you get what I am saying. Let's just hope that won't turn into leukemia. I most certainly would not want that to happen to a good friend.

I see. My mother was suffering from high blood pressure and she is on some kind of medication to keep it down. Is there any sort of medication that you are taking to help?

I see. Well, hopefully those complications won't come to pass. I didn't know that blood transfusions could be fatal though. I would help donate blood, but I live all the way in the US and I don't know if it would be able to get to Portugal if you know what I mean.

Again, we will have to hope that it doesn't become that way. Yes, please do be careful. We don't want something this scary to ever happen again.

Well, I'll be sure to do everything to not get that way! Besides, we can't always think in the worst of the possibilities neh? For now is controlled and is what basically I'm concentrated in... Is very scary I don't deny it, but my doctor says that if we have our eyes open, is not so easy to catch a problem of that type. ^^ And that's the phrase that makes me keep being positive around this situation.

My medication now is around vitamins and vaccines. ^^ Also a diet containing the most possible natural vitamins, iron, minerals and fibers, plus a little bit of exercise!

My mother also have the problem of high blood pressure... It sucks! :/

The major of them are successfully transfused but there were already cases of people not accepting it and die... It's not our blood anyway and so some organisms rejects an external transfusion, causing high fevers and infections...><

Awwww, it's very kind of you! But I guess that is not possible due to the far away countries...o.o Blood need to be flesh and so I think they avoid transports... usually, Hospitals pays the voyage for a person outside to come and give blood if necessary and if Portugal doesn't have one person to help. ^^

Hehehez indeed. Sometimes we go out to work and then come to our house, eat, sleep and goes to another routine day... Now I think that we need to live our days better than this... I already went to Portugal once. Only for two weeks. Five days was actually in the Azores, Five days were in Madeira, and the rest were in the mainland. Well, anyway, yeah that is true. And I don't speak Portuguese. I speake some Spanish, but I don't think I know enough to actually have a formal conversation with someone.

Yup! Umm... Porto, Lisbon, and I forget what the other city was. But for the Azores, we were in Faial, Pico, and Sao Miguel.

I see. Interesting. I'm learning Spanish in school, but I'm not very advanced. Only Spanish II. My teacher calls me Senorita Perfecta because I do so well and, not meaning to brag but, I get the highest scores in class. That's why everyoned hates me. Because I destroy the curve. Still don't really remember what it was. But that might've been it. Yeah, I did. Was not the best trip we ever had, but we still had fun. The worst part about it was the volcanized meal we had in either Sao Miguel or Madeira. That was TERRIBLE!!! But still one of the most memorable.
