Description This is the 4 piece work from the overland series. I got a different shot to show the detail of the depth of the piece and how the wood comes into play with them. All the pieces in the overland series are boxed up this way. It will more than likely be how I do the new stuff as well although I am going to experiment with an adhesive to see if that works instead of the copper nails. Any suggestions on an adhesive that will adhere a 1'x4' piece of copper to a wood frame would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to comment.

stay tuned............

Liquid nails - that shit will stick anything, it seals a join super strong, but you need to support the join with screws or nails so the glue will do it's job, problems it the consistency of the liquid nails is very thick and can cause over lap so caution is needed if you don't want to spoil your finish.

A wodnerful series - i love the texturem tone and depth.

I appreciate your idea. Friday I was playing around with a few thoughts and came up with just brazing/sautering an L shaped bracket underneath that would screw into the inside walls of the pieces. So to test the theory I took apart a piece that I had already boxed/framed up before and fastened it this way. It seems to work fine and with the scrap that I have left over throughout the years I have plenty of material already on hand to make the brackets to any size I need. My stepdad called me late thursday night with the idea. I owe him a few lunches for that idea.

Thank you so much on your input. I still have some liquid nail in the shop though for the pieces that are smaller and impossible to get my drill in behind to screw the side brackets in. I will let you know how it holds up with the process I use.
