Description
Since I'm away from home I have been sketching and this is one of them. It's just black ink and pencil. I have several sources of imagery going through my head and I'm working on trying to get them to come to a cohesive collaboration on paper and eventually on to something more polished (and larger). In other words, I am not quite sure where the work and myself is headed at the moment. Let the next journey begin....Related content

Yes, they are very representational but they aren't of any language or have a definition. It's more through aesthetics and my interest of different letters and symbols in languages other than english. I am fascinated by different types of lettering....arabic, chinese, etc. I find it fascinating that to me. The symbols and letters of older civilizations are visually appeasing and expressive to me. They are so beautiful.

It's certianly interesting. Are the black shapes in the upper left representational? They almost look like letters in a script I don't know.
