Dark like Cutê is separated negative emotions given form during a botched separation of emotions by CA species. While Cutê recovered realising she isn't just the negative feeling of another, dark gave in to their impulses. Dark being the separated side of Stats minor CA.

They came in to their own overtime, assimilating a cult that worshiped death on the home worlds being that all CA species are revived creatures.

Dark worships the sanctity of life, killing any revived more then once and those who enhance unwillingly.

At first they were feral but aid from other villains they morphed them in to a unifying figure against the core and it's manipulative practices. They becoming cunning, manipulative and evil in there ways. They are Earth 1 Stataros main threat aside from core politics.

The light side became a villain also. Stats main was off world due to aggravating another species doing work on recovery on another world.

All mains were expected to attend. Something his villains used against him later blaming and manipulation of the public later.

This is why dark is so twisted in comparison to Cutê, they were an outlier already in an experimental process.

Dark knows secretes they shouldn't. They have no ill will to Stat mainly his ally's who let him revive and in his eyes extend peoples suffering.

Stat's main needing to pick up the pieces following darks rampage killing other peoples light and dark sides alike in his awaking. Stat needing to focus on containment of this adaptive threat. He in universe also led to Halloween becoming popular again in a twisted way.

He tricked people his enemies on mass and were his hooks and "tie" came from, people hanging out decorations every Halloween to avoid a grizzly fate.
He doing terrible act's on Halloween every year standard earth time with his cult however is active all year round.

They aren't concerned about relic hunters mainly the other villains the group goes against during the story.
