Made from the Ashes and Smoke left behind of beings that were made to never end, yet whose light was extinguished through means not meant to be heard by anyone. Ascelin is a specially made and high-ranking Reaper, in possession of a scythe custom made for him that can separate souls even from immortal beings. His main use is to reap a high number of souls and very powerful and potentially dangerous souls at once and guiding them to the other side. Of course, only when the time comes, he's a Reaper of etiquette and manners. There is a point in time for everything, rushing or prolonging reaping one's soul would need deeply important reasoning for him.

Being a Reaper he does appreciate life, needlessly killing something just for the sake of killing it is something he frowns upon. Funnily enough, being able to keep himself unseen to other people, he can’t help but watch doctors from time to time struggling and fighting to save someone’s life. With his special privileges that not many reapers have, he could reap a couple of average people’s souls outside their meant death, of course, that would be completely unnecessary and why would you ever even suggest something like that? Whatever would give him the reason to do such a thing? That reason has yet to be found.

Being allowed to wander wherever his steps might take him, he observes the living realm with a silent appreciation.
