— Personality Summary:
Variscite is a Homeworld Gem through and through, she is very proud of who and what she is and deeply reveres the Diamonds, especially her Diamond, Yellow Diamond.
Her primary purpose is as a Sword Fighter, and her favorite type of weapon is an épée fencing sword. She is quite skilled in offensive and defensive combat with swords. Thus she has quite the spoiled view of things, she came out a perfect cut of her gem line and has never faced many issues, being quite respected by most other gems, even a few very high-ranking ones. Besides combat, a secondary purpose for her type of Variscite is to perform Fencing (and other types of sword fights and sword-based dances) with other gems for entertainment.
With no shattering or actual intent to end the other. Those fights either end with one person being rendered without their weapon and defenseless, or being poofed. Variscite enjoys those artful fights with a deep passion, at times even seeming to dance while performing those fights with very elegant movements. Quite literally the lines “Let’s dance!” “Oh, you want to dance? Then let’s dance.” are very much fitting for her.
Meeting a Crystal Gem/Rebel Gem could be quite an interesting situation, on one part she’s appalled by rebels, who would ever want to go against our perfect empire? On the other hand, she is quite curious about how exactly some of these rebels became the way they are, especially if they didn’t come out as off-colors. She can understand to a degree why gems that came out wrong would not want to be part of homeworld’s system since even if they are still useful for the empire, they get ridiculed for not being how they are supposed to be.
Furthermore, she is usually quite the friendly and helpful Gem, always willing to listen to others talk about themselves, unironically.

can control their gravity in a limited manner, they can delay or speed up how quickly gravity affects them (Can also jump up very high to get a better overlook in case of a fight or being used in a Gem war)
can levitate a few inches/centimeters over the ground while walking, erasing any sounds that otherwise would come from their steps
