Description
“Never thought I would get here,” I said aloud as I stood on the outskirts of the town of Pallet.
Hi, my name is Leif. Today is my 18th birthday, or so I was told, and am on my way to see Professor Oak in Pallet Town to receive a Pokémon.
I’ve lived for as long as I can remember in Viridian City, which isn’t far from here. However, just a few days ago, I was told that the people whom I had always assumed were my parents were not related to me at all. Turns out I was found all alone in Viridian Forest as a baby and adopted by this nice couple. So now I don’t know who I am. Even my name was found on a tag that was with me all those years ago, which I still wear around my neck. Being able to travel with Pokémon will be my best shot at perhaps figuring out who I am, and why I was abandoned.
“Well this must be the Oak lab. I guess I’ll just go right in.”
I searched high and low looking for someone, anyone. The building seemed completely empty. That is, until I stumbled upon a small room which housed a small machine which held three Poké Balls.
“I wonder why the professor would just leave these out in the open like this, especially with his door unlocked.”
“Don’t you even think about stealing those Pokémon,” a female voice called from behind me.
I whipped around to find the source of the voice. In the doorway stood two individuals: a girl of about my height and age, and a man in a lab coat.
“I wasn’t going to steal them. I came here to find Professor Oak. My name is Leif, and I’m looking for a Pokémon.”
“Well you have come to the right place, young man,” the lab coated-gentleman said, walking toward me, “I am Professor Oak, good to meet you, Leif.”
