Description
I was powerless.
I had just about given myself up to this fact. There was nothing I could do to stop the EnderDragon, nothing I could do to
keep it from over-running the entire kingdom. And here I thought the dragon was wrong about destiny, guess I was wrong.
The dragon swiftly motioned for his rampaging forces to make their charge on the castle. The entire mob army crashed on
the castle, some trying to scale the walls, some trying to break down the main gate. The defenders on the inside put up a
valiant effort, able to knock back and destroy many of the mob foot soldiers, zombies, skeletons, and such. But then the
dragon called in the big guns, the Endermen, the most dangerous of hostile mobs. They went to work, removing pieces of
the castle walls, slowing creating gaps through which the other mobs could proceed. It wasn't long before the dragon
himself, still using my body, stepped through one of these gaps and into the castle courtyard.
As I had expected, however, the best soldiers for the kingdom, the Diamond Warriors, were all inside, prepared for such a
confrontation. The did an excellent job mowing down many of the lesser mobs, and even though they were wholly out-
numbered over every inch of the battlefield, they fought quite well.
The dragon, however, didn't pay any attention to any of these skirmishes, instead focusing on moving forward toward
where I knew the main throne room was located. I'm not sure exactly how he knew this, perhaps he had complete access
to my brain and any memories or information I had.
For awhile, it seemed like the dragon would not face any resistance to getting to his target, with all the Diamond Warriors
and other defenders pre-occupied by the other mobs. However, just before reaching the grand staircase leading up from
the courtyard, a single Diamond Warrior stepped in the dragon's path. He seemed a little different from the others, he was
significantly larger, and his armor didn't quite fit him as well. He held a diamond sword in one hand, and an iron pickaxe in
the other. I could tell right away that it was Njord.
"Ukjent," Njord bellowed, pointing the sword right at me, "what do ya think you are doin'?"
"Oh," the dragon replied, not even trying to mask his voice, "he's just helping me a little. If all goes according to plan, the
entire world will be mine by the end of the week. And I am not going to allow you to step in the way of that plan."
The dragon charged and the two began duking it out. It was obvious that the dragon was a much better fighter, even in an
unusual form, but Njord was able to level the playing field a little with his dual-wielding attack.
It was at this moment that I decided to try one last time to fight back. It may have not worked before, but I'll be literally
damned if I was going to let this go without a fight. I began trying to move my limbs from the inside out, trying to open up
the dragon for attack. I didn't care if killing the dragon meant killing me as well, as long as the dragon fell. At first, this did absolutely nothing. However, over time it began to work a little at a time, and a little more each time. It seems that the more the dragon had to focus on fighting both Njord on the outside and me on the inside, the more vulnerable he became to both.
But the dragon wasn't down yet. With one very powerful strain he broke free of my grasp on him from inside and knocked Njord a clear twenty feet, landing him right on the steps, knocking him out as his head whip-lashed onto the solid stone. The dragon laughed maniacally at this, having seemingly beat not one, but two foes.
It was then that I heard something different, the sound of a bowstring being pulled. The dragon heard it too and looking up in the direction of the sound. There was Morgan, on the overlooking walkway, drawing a bow, but not just any bow, my first enchanted bow. Again, I struggled on the inside, turning my head, giving Morgan a clear shot at my neck, one of the few places where there wasn't armor. Morgan lined up her shot and fired. I flinched, preparing to feel the pain of the strike, but didn't feel anything. My body dropped to the ground, landing flat on my face, but I knew I wasn't injured. Then I felt a strong force, the same kind I had felt when the dragon entered my body in the first place. In a matter of moments, I was in complete control of my body once more. Flipping over onto my back, I could see the EnderDragon, in his whole fearsome shape, standing right above me.
