"Hello."
"I watch you come and go."

On The Outside...

Name: Sapphira
Nicknames/Aliases: Sapphie (Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT call her this nickname unless told otherwise, she won't be happy.), The Crystal Caregiver

Age: 2 Years, 1 Month

Gender: Cis Female

Breed: 50% Abyssinian/50% Javanese

Coat: Short-long length, blue-silver pointed.

Eye Colour: A vivid blue, with tinges of green.

Sexuality: Unsure... She never really had the chance to find love or... you know.

Height: Long leggies, so about 11 inches

Weight: 6 pounds, small appetite y'know

Scent/Presence: Ice and stone, a frozen crystal cave that glows with many kinds of colourful lights. Fluorescent, Phosphorescent, Candescent, etc. That's the kind of feeling that you can sense, and you don't know why.

Accessories: - A small, beautiful crystal pendent that seems to change colour, it doesn't seem to have any use except for being pretty.

Scars: Nope, not yet

Build: Lean, medium, and muscled. But it's definitely not a fighter's body, it's more of a streamlined, swift hunter or scout kind of build. Her legs are very long and skinny, but sturdy and balanced. With her small, soft paws, she'll be capable of moving quickly and quietly though the most alert areas. Her tail is long and feathery, which makes it a great cover for the cold, and excellent for balancing. Sharp, slightly long claws, but she's barely used them on anything, save for hunting. Small jaw, but deadly pointed teeth. You do not want to get clawed or bitten, cause it'll hurt regardless of her strength.

Pelt: A blue and silver pointed she-cat, with a small diamond shaped marking on her forehead and eye markings. Silky and soft, Saphira's coat has always been taken care of with great caution and precision. Her face and tail have a longer length and softness than the rest of her body, thanks to her Javanese blood.
Health: Physical Health: Overall, it's not bad... But over the past few years, a completely healthy cat is rare, and Sapphira is no exception. Should she ever catch even a slight cough, it'll spiral out of control quickly. And while it may not be life-threatening, it'll surely be hard to do anything at all. Her energy and stamina levels are quite average, however she is more than capable to stay up all day and all night. It's just a habit that apparently, runs in the family. When it come to building back up her strength, it may take longer than others. She takes extreme precautions to make sure she won't be injured or sick.

Mental Health: Living alone for the majority of her life, Sapphira's never really had a good chance to communicate with a group of cats. Yet her thoughts and feelings are as stable as any other wise cat in the world. Living through only a single traumatic event through her life, she's managed to move on and learn from the experience. There's not much of a chance that she'll ever go crazy, that's for sure. But we'll never know...

"I know you can hear my voice."
"Don't walk away."

On The Inside...

Personality:

Courteous ||: If anything that's considered a second instinct, it's being courteous. Ever since she was a kit, her parents constantly reminded her to always treat others the way you want to be treated, simple as that. At times, she wonders what is there to gain by acting so ungrateful without a good reason. She'll always mind her manners, and in a conversation, she won't be the one to step out unless necessary. Very modest in whatever she does, but not overwhelmingly so, she'll always thank you for your compliments while putting on a small smile.

Intelligent ||:  Sapphira's a quick learner, and she has a great memory of knowledge to back it up. She's got a clear, sharp mind for just about anything, and will be glad to put it to use. This includes creativity as well, as she's made a few traps and small inventions before. If you put anything that she hasn't seen before and she'll analyze it until she's confident that she's learned it all.

Intuitive ||: Without any logic or reason at all, Sapphira can tell whether or not something is off. Despite her lack of social skills, her inner workings tell her to keep alert. If it's a cat whose putting on a facade to hide a truth, or the tension in the air that comes from a group, She won't let go of her gut-feeling until it's been revealed, even if it may take forever.

Independent ||: She's lived alone for the majority of her life, and figuring out how to survive on her own, Sapphira is capable to take care of herself in times of need.

Calm levels of Invisible ||: Not being very talkative ever since she was born, Sapphira keeps her thoughts and feelings to herself, reserving them to only herself. Never being the one to interrupt a statement or be a loudmouth, it's fairly unlikely that she'll be rude. However, she can be overly quiet, too quiet sometimes. But it clearly doesn't put her in the limelight, which she would prefer, thank you very much.

Unhurried||: In Sapphira's mind, there's no reason to panic, seriously. She knows what a life threatening situation is all about, but panicking isn't gonna help now, is it? Others may perceive this as insensitive, lazy, etc. But it's just her way of doing... well, everything.

Empathetic||: Along with her intuition, she can heavily feel what the individual, or the what the crowd emits, and the more cats there are, the more emotions she can sense. It's not always considered a good trait, as sometimes, the emotions are so overwhelming or conflicting, Sapphira doesn't even know what she's feeling herself. Eventually, it may lead to the wrong reaction, which would lead to misunderstandings, or worse.

Dishonest ||: Now, you might think that Sapphira's being a hypocrite; Being a polite, ladylike cat, yet she doesn't tell the truth? Oh, she's still a kindly mannered cat, but if there's something that doesn't sit well, she's got no problem lying. Besides, actions speak louder than words, what's the harm?

Preoccupied ||: There's always something on Sapphira's mind, always. It could really be anything, like wondering if her coat needs more grooming, and then start to groom for a while, or preparing for any future events, which leads to mindless pacing. Her mind works at a million miles an hour, and it's exhausting for her mentally. So if she's ever not-focusing, that's definitely the reason why.

Calculating ||: There's barely anything about this she-cat that's predictable. She's completely sane, but whether or not a selfless or ruthless decision must be made, it's a game of heads or tails. In the most dire situations, the obvious thing to do just good doesn't sit well with her, yet she's neither a coward nor a traitor. Or, at least, she doesn't consider herself one... (Really, she's not a coward, but she doesn't have that 'Gryffindor' diluted kind of bravery either.)

Cold ||: Sapphira does have feelings, she really does. But her presence itself will leave you shivering from the cold she radiates. She acts emotionless - even if she didn't intend to -  which will lead to cats not wanting to go near her. The fact that her social skills are terrible contributes to her acting this way, but if you can earn her trust, get to know her better... she might open up, just a bit.

Impairments/Disabilities: None so far.

Voice Headcanon: ... Uhhh, Imogen Heap? or maybe... Yep. Imogen Heap.

"If you stand up for me, I'll stand up for you."
"If you take care of me, I'll take of you."

Likes: - Being alone
- Relaxing, by herself or with a close friend
- Hunting
- Fish or plump birds (Her favorite kinds of food)
- Anything that's beautiful in the world (Or, shiny stuff)
- Cool temperatures
- Swimming (in tolerable water)

Dislikes: - Anything that's loud
- Crowds
- Cats with big egos
- Cats that are annoying
- Cats that are flirty
- Just, a lot of cats and cat personalities
- Getting sick or injured

Fears: - Losing another loved one
- Not finding someone that will love her/settling down

History

"I want that one."

"Are you sure, Sapphie? There's plenty of other crystals-"

"Yes, I want that one."

Born to a handsome, green eyed, blue coated Abyssinian and a sleek furred, blue eyed, lilac pointed Javanese, Sapphira came into the world as an only kit. It was odd, that she had no siblings, but whenever she asked, her parents always tried to avert the subject. She just plainly accepted the fact that there were no siblings and moved on. The small, close-knit family resided in a truly ethereal place. A vast crystal cave system filled with all of the colours that you can imagine. Beautiful reds, blues, greens, yellows, oranges and purples lines every wall, and a small, trickling stream flowed in the middle. The air was cool and a bit damp, with a bat here and there, or maybe the occasional lizard. It was an oasis of sorts, when you look at the scorching hot conditions, it was a fine place for living. The family only reside close to the entrance, as it was 'too dangerous to go further.'

For a few months of her life, things were fine, and things were alright. But then, temperatures began to fall.

It wasn't bad at first, since the rains returned, and Sapphira finally stepped outside for the first time. She loved it! Even though the rain was constantly heavy, and thunder occasionally cracked through the sky, she was never afraid. Not even the first time she learned how to swim. It was an accident, really, for she slipped into the now rushing river of the cave, sending her parents into a near state of shock. Yet with her skinny, long legs, she made it back to the surface, relatively unharmed. her parents forbid her to ever swim again until she got older, but sometimes, when they were out hunting, she'd quietly slip in and happily splash about, and also trying to explain why was her fur so wet by the time they got back.

Sapphira's first and only gift from her parents, was a small pendant, made from the crystal of her choice. There were countless colours to choose from, but little Sapphira's eyes were glued to an odd growth of multicolored crystals. It was beautiful, yet quite haunting. It was a gift to remind her of where she came from. She could go anywhere, do whatever she wanted when she was grown, but she must always remember where and why she lives in the first place.

Those were the good days. When the land turned deadly cold, and the rains turned to snow, the cave wasn't so warm anymore. The ice kept on growing, and growing, until the crystal cave became a glacier cave. Yet the family of three made it work, for the river, while icy cold, still had fish swimming through it's systems. Through trial and error, the three finally learned how to fish through the ice. Sapphira wasn't concerned for their lives anymore, as long as they had each other, they'll make it through anything!

Until, that night, when the cave became a trap for anyone and everyone.

The family was going to bed after another successful hunt for fish. With bellies full, they curled up to retire for the night, but an odd cracking noise above jolted them awake. The icy ceiling was grown far too much for the cave to handle, and suddenly, it began to collapse. The family raced for safety, the crashing ice falling quicker and quicker, until it caught up to both parents, engulfing them in chunks of ice and mountains of snow.

Sapphira made it out alive, refusing to look back until she reached the entrance. But her parents? When she looked back, they were nowhere to be found. Fear and panic began to rise up again, engulfing her insides until it was impossible to handle. She raced back into the cave, calling for her parents, becoming more and more desperate. When she arrived back at the catastrophe, she threw herself onto the wreckage, clawing out as much snow and ice as she could. There was no way they could be dead, no way, no-

The faces of her parents were finally uncovered, permanently frozen in a state of fear, and crushed horribly, to the death.
Sapphira wailed as she pressed herself onto what remained of her parents' bodies. She was cold, tired, terrified. But most importantly, she was alone. For the first time, she didn't know what to do. They were gone, and she was alone, alone to fend for herself, alone to mourn with no one there for comfort that she longed for already, alone, to die.

The young molly grieved, and she grieved for a long time. Why was she so sure that things were going to be okay? How could she have thought of that, when the danger was right above their heads? She never even got to know their real names, for she always knew them as 'Mama' and 'Papa'. Sapphira walked, and walked every corner of the cave, lost in her thoughts for a long time, losing herself in her sorrow. Her mind turning in on itself, crushing, tearing itself apart. She wanted it to end, she wanted it to end so badly; Her emotions, her guilt, her LIFE- Everything.

The world wasn't fair. It never was. Yet she believed that things were going to be okay.

How foolish of her.

But what did her parents raise her for? They sacrificed their life for her to live, and they lived to see their child grow into a fine young molly. Their words from the past found their way back into her mind, and she thought, she thought of them for a long time.
She wasn't going to let that go to waste.

It was only that one moment, sitting in the maze of crystals and ice, that she decided that the best way to honor them, is to learn.

Learn from this moment, learn everything that this world has to offer, learn to move on so she could live her life, so that other good cats who would come by would never share the same fate as them, and outsmart her own fate.

And so, she began her journey of knowledge. While she remained in the crystal caves, she began to venture further, analyze, and experiment with whatever she could find. She started to remember every path, every colour of crystal, and put them all intouse, whether it'd be a checkmark on her mental map, or a contraption to alert her of another ice-fall. She weaves and slides her way in and out of passages, of seemingly impossible dead-ends, of the endless systems that never seemed to stop.

Months pass, and rumors from cats who have ventured into the cave out of curiosity or a place to spend the night tell of a mysterious guide that lived within the dangerous ice and crystal cave. But whether or not she decided to help them is came down to their own alignments in the world. Given the title, 'The Crystal Caregiver', she can either be kind, and offer you a way out... or leave you to your fate in the caves.

Chosen for the Trials...

I'm a story in mourning, and you're the author."

"So pour out your masterpiece."

  • Which Spirit Groups, if any, would you hate to be in?
    - Personally, my least favorite groups are Terra  and Ventus(I still love it). However, I'm more than willing to do any Spirit Group, and I'll be happy with whatever you give me.

    Team

  • What is your roleplay activity preference? [How active do you want your team to be]
    - Normal. As much as I love roleplaying, highschool is still a priority to work on. Please don't put me in any high active groups.

  • What is your preferred posting length? [Feel free to elaborate on your preferred posting length]
    - Smallish to Medium. I'll definitely go past the post minimum, but 800 words is a bit much for me. I'm still capable of writing a big post though, if needed or wanted.

  • Are you looking for a laid back team or excitable?
    - Hmmm, I would think an excitable team would be pretty fun. But drop me in any group you like, I'll gladly take on any kind of team you got.

Roleplay Example
Examples from Labyrinth's-End

Luna strided on, her gait casual but wide. The moss bundle in her mouth felt a bit like  a small cushion, but she noticed a bit of saliva threatening to seep out. While re-adjusting her grip on the bundle every once in a while, her senses picked up on a growing undertone of unease and tension. She raised an eyebrow, looking around her.

It seems, that the majority of the group suddenly began to feel uncomfortable, when a few seconds ago they were enjoying some light conversation and small talk. Of course, Luna kept quiet for probably the entirety of the journey, listening in on the various topics that came up. Tawni and Elyr were having a lax conversation on civilizations - Elyr talking about his group that he lived with, and Tawni her travels - when suddenly, Elyr halted in his tracks, looking rather woozy. Tawni did the exact same, unsheathing her claws and digging them into the ground before yanking them out, continuing their conversation in a more tense mood.

Siv was staring at the wall, as if it were a ghost. Her fur seemed to be bristling with worry and unease. Flicker, who seemed to be unaffected, caught up to Siv, looking embarrassed.

There were two other cats that Luna hasn’t talked to, yet she has seen them a few times at the graveyard. One was a small orange tom who just gulped loudly, while staring intently in front of him, while the other was a charming red she-cat who, like Luna and Flicker, seemed to appear fine and just as observant as Luna is. Deciding to hopefully not being alone on being cautious of the others behaviors, she closed the distance between them. Luna tried to politely smile through her nearly full mouth of ivy and moss. “I do believe I haven’t talked to you yet, though I do hope you won’t mind the company right now, do you?”

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

“Alright, let’s put her over there to cool off.” Luna told Siv while she looked to the side, where a quiet, uncrowded spot remained amidst the crowded confusion. Gently guiding the exhausted she-cat to their destination, Luna lay Tawni on her uninjured side and examined the damaged leg. While it’s no longer dislocated, putting weight on it wouldn’t make it any better. Glancing around the area, the courtyard seemed to be filled with supplies; Moss covered walls, water to clean off (Hopefully safe…) And ivy hanging off from… somewhere, offering a place to relax, but maybe…?

“So, guess this place is safe right now, we better go and clean off ourselves,” Luna told Siv. Looking back at Tawni one last time, she padded towards the moss walls to try and rip off a few solid chunks of it.

The Marauders and the Crusaders seemed to have some sort of rising tension already building between them, even though they haven’t even parted ways yet. Thankfully, her group that she travelled with - including Echo - decided that a chance at life again was a chance worth taking. Although, Haxa’s unsettling, brutally cold manner reminded Luna of herself, before she became a family member once again.

“Social, political groups these days, I’ll never completely understand them…” Luna muttered to herself as she continued to claw the moss off. Hopefully, if the moss was sturdy enough, and so was the ivy, she could weave it around Tawni’s bad leg and make a splint out of it.

Luna didn’t really know why she was doing all of these kind favors to strangers, because in her short, nearly four years of her life, she mostly challenged their decisions, wanted to fight them and beat the hell out of them instead. Not counting her family years, though. She never really had the chance to socialize with any other strangers once she met Ray and Camille, so if she was ever given the chance to do that in the living, would she be as kind as this? Maybe it’s because she’s bored, and has nothing else doing other than to try and help. Or the dull, painful shock of definitely being dead emotionally resigned her into being weak and soft-hearted, like she always thought during her city-hardened years?

Either way, Luna felt the smallest of smiles creep onto her face.

For now, being kind… it just feels good. It feels right.
