Yeah DC Thompson are a very idiosyncratic company, i sent samples to them myself, with the same result, i think they have guys working for them whove been there for decades, but who knows

That's absolutely true. I spoke to the editor (who's mane escapes me) & he said exactly that.. he has guys who have been working for them for years, & in order to give me a gig he'd basically have to take the food from their mouths to do it. When you put it like that, you can understand why they are reluctant. Gotta admire that too, loyalty like that isn't something you see a lot of in this industry these days.
