This is for the Mark Brooks contest.Update: I re-colored the background last minute because I was sick with the flu for over a week and then after I had problems focusing on anything, and I took naps everyday...but I think the last minute changes really helped it...uhh..grow. The Age of Apocolypse is typically dark and purple and grey...nothing too bold or bright from what I remember, so I decided thats where I would go with this. Good luck to everyone in the contest and thanks to Mark.
note: Storm had a tornado, but it didnt really fit so I axed it.

thats what I went for, usually I do more painterly shading, but I wanted crisp and sharp this time

well keep it up man...hey i was wondering, see i jusst recently scanned a sketch and made it all vector based an all..but im new to the digital scene and havent had much experience in coloring so could u do me a fave an color this lil one for me..i didnt have time to get the edges all smooth cuz i was in a hurry

thank you, because I had the flu I only got around to the glows last minute, and almost didnt make the deadline because I was sick or busy all month, so I really appreciate it

I noticed most of the other's didn't put as much emphasis on the energy. Too bad for them. I gotta ask, tho, what program did you use?

I painted the characters in Painter IX, with my tablet, then added the glows and the background in photoshop.

Its much more simple than photoshop if you just want to paint, but using filters, layers and other tools seems much less intuitive
