Exams are coming up and one last assignment is due, but there's still time for at least one art piece for this month! I'm really sorry if it looks weird guys. I haven't really been feeling up for lineart this year, so things aren't as pretty as I'd like.
The inspiration this time was from Mahou Tsukai Precure the Movie: The Miraculous Transformation of Cure Mofurun. I really loved the idea that the movie had of wishes being represented by balloons floating in the sky. It's so pretty and gives me a feeling of wistfulness, like the remembrance of childhood. With that in mind, I wanted to convey that sort of feeling with the transformed Mofurun watching her wishes float towards the sky. I decided to include bubbles since the miracle lights in the movie reminded me of bubble blowers kinda, and it sort of gave me the same wistful feeling that I liked about the balloons.
Mofurun herself was quite hard to draw, and to be honest, her hairstyle gave me hell. I had to use lots of references to figure out where I was going with it. I really do love her design, though. I'd love to draw a human-form civilian design for her one day. She really is a sweet character and it was so great to see her fight alongside Mirai, Liko and Haa-chan. They really are like a magical girl family!
