I had just watched some joke trailer for a LoZ movie when I drew this -- and not to be mean -- but the guy playing Link was, well... uglier than homemade sin. So that made me think, is there a human male alive pretty enough to actually be Link?I didn't use any reference, but I think I had Taylor Hanson in mind when I drew this (farm1.static.flickr.com/224/49โฆ )... he was about the prettiest boy I could think of. Too bad he's a musician and not an actor; I could really picture him with pointy ears and a green windsock on his head.
Who do you think would make a good Link?

And wow, I just nostalgia'd super hard... I remember that young, blonde David Gallagher. I never watched 7H, but the cast members were regulars in the girly little teen magazines I used to buy... I mean, that my friends used to buy and that I'd never be caught dead reading. *ahem* >_>;
But yes, he could definitely have pulled off the Link look, good idea!

This is awesome! Actually Link being an Hylian (which is in my opinion a race more similar to elves whom are delicate beings with delicate faces than to humans whom are more muscular), it would make it diificult to find a real human male looking similar to Link... How sad...

You make a very good point there! I think that when drawing fantasy characters, racial traits in regards to anatomy and bone structure are important things to consider. I'd say it's the biggest difference between the subject looking alien (for lack of a better word), or distinctly human.
So yeah, I guess that does lessen the odds of any mortal male matching Link's otherwordly prettiness, alas.

Indeed!!! Ah... At least Link can always be met in dreams at night. I actually had some very nice dreams about him recently... But I guess I cannot say here what was the nature of those dreams...
And I am clueless about why I am feeling so romantic in the recent weeks and that I keep on having this kind of dreams... If only I was not single... Oh. It must be the reason... So this is why I get those dreams... something is amiss in my life. I guess I just have to enjoy those dreams then.

I saw that April Fools trailer 2 years ago! It looked like it was supposed to be based off of OoT, but it was a miserable fail at that, and I was raging at how Link looked, and that he started as a farmer in the trailer. THERE IS NOBODY IN THE WORLD THAT CAN MATCH LINK!
