An imperial guard elite sniper unit lead by Lieutenant Ben Highburrow in the middle of a firefight with Eldar agressors on the desert world Torq XLII.These photos are my first attempts to work with Photoshop (Photoshop Elements 11). Up to now i have only edited size and lighting on my photos with Photoscape, a free internet software download.
Older Warhammer 40k miniatures from Games Workshop.
28mm scale (roughly 1:56)
I paint the miniatures and build most of the terrain.

Nice paint on the minis but absolutely awesome presentation in the photo, is the fire sculpted or photoshopped? (it's that good I can't tell )

The miniatures, buildings and sand are set up in front of a background photo that i print out and stick on to some card. The fire, smoke and explosions are added with Photoshop Elements 11.

Cheers for the info, I used to have Photoshop (I used to have a Mac 'til it upgraded itself to El Kaput) so I'll have to see about getting Elements if it's available for Windows 'coz the results you're getting really do lift your pix from 'here's a pikky of a model'.

I use the elements 11 windows version which i bought 2nd hand off ebay earlier this year. The newer versions obviously have more features but they also cost more.
