My original pencils for my Urbanmech card for the Battletech Card Game (Wizards of the Coast, 1997). The background in the final painting was actually a photo taken out my office window while I was working at Reboot!Related content

I found this while going through a nostalgia trip google image search - This art was so inspiring to me growing up and your render and style was my favorite of all the cards I owned. Thank you.

Oh wow, thanks so much! It's funny, because while I was painting it, I thought it was turning out only 'so-so'. I was shocked when I discovered a couple years back how hugely popular it was!

I knew the background was all too realistic on the card from the getgo, and thank you for confirming my suspision, but when you so realistically rendered the UrbanMech on it, this was THE picture that made me think "Okay, this guy has got to be the most talented artist on the WOTC team to be able to pull that off so well." I'm not trying to kiss-ass, I'm just giving my opinions from when I was a kid collecting these cards.

Well, as I mention in my profile, I mostly work in film now, so I don't do too much drawing these days. But you can find a smattering of more recent stuff in the "Video Games", "Film and TV", and "Miscellaneous" sections.
