My first stab at the tractor beam for the Reboot Imax Ridefilm. I actually like this one better than the version we finally went with, though I remember vaguely that the producer thought this one looked too small, like it was a handheld device.Related content

It's been so long since I saw that at the Siny Playdium in Missisiisisisisaugua (may be slightly misspelled). I wish I could see it again, because it was absolutely awesome. Megabyte landing on the car, falling off, the car being dragged through Mainframe on a rubber band and thumping down stairs--great stuff!

Glad you got to see it! So few people did. And yeah, it was amazingly immersive in that IMAX format, despite how primitive the rendering was by modern standards...

Yeah, I remember how blown away I was by ReBoot when I saw the first season. Now it looks stiff and kinda clunky, but it's still enjoyable. With the Ridefilm, I was so enthralled with everything going on--I nearly messed myself when Megabyte landed on the car, and busted a gut laughing when he got knocked off--that I couldn't focus on fiddly little details the way I typically do.
