Glad to find you in here. This had been one of my favorite SR artworks, and I had been tempted to scan it in, but now I can fave the real thing.

Well, it was a great combination of 'damn she's sexy' and 'damn there's some great details and such in this pic'. Your work was always a high point in the books.

It's a blast. Even in pencil, although the original concept was to pull this off in solid b/w for print - this is class and all kinds of awesome. So well executed. The art of making such a concept in b/w is lost to today's illustrators, mostly, because of the better printing methods and budgets and all, it's rarely needed (or wanted, for that matter) anymore. I find that saddening.

Too true. Printing technology was low-fi enough that it made pen & ink a necessity for reproduction. That said, I think there's still a lot of people working like this in comics, though its rarely reproduced in black & white anymore.

That's true, of course. But still, today we can mingle everything through Photoshop and the like - I truely admire that this is 100% hand crafted!

Thanks! I was hoping to see it in a sourcebook but nowhere to be found... unless I missed it?

If it did, I didn't draw it. I tended to just make up new guns for every drawing...

Also, I'm pretty sure someone inked it, as it looks fairly inked in GSB.

Nope, they just crushed the contrast for the book, and it ended out looking all smudgy.

Ah okay. Thought that was my print that had somehow ruined it. It would really look great inked. So many clichΓ©s in one image ... a bavarian friend of mine was rather delighted by this image.

Cool! Yeah, I had fun drawing that castle. Can't remember the name of it now, but it's a major tourist attraction and shows up in the movie Spaceballs.

YES! This is one of those I hoped you'd put up. And maybe the Wurst troll?
