Description : Taa daaaaaaaaa!

Here's something totally unexpected, a Grand Trunk Western U-4-b streamlined 4-8-4. Since there will be one coming to Thomas and Friends "The Great Race", I thought I'd modify a sprite and make it into a streamlined U-4-b so you can use it for the T&F U-4-b engine coming this year, or for another character of yours. Hope you guys love it!

Update: I made some more details for this engine and added another version, allowing you to have both the U4a and U4b. I might update my U4a and U4b characters with these, but not sure about that yet. If you have a character based off of either of these engines, I suggest you use the updated version.

What's the difference between a U4a and a U4b?

The numbers and the bars on the front end, plus the front skytop.

Yeah. I just saw the article. I never thought the day would come where I'd be fangirling over Thomas! And this is really good news for me as I'm writing stories about the GTW and I can actually use a Thomas & Friends cannon character!

nice! I was expecting some other streamlined engine besides the GTW U-4-b, like the C&O 490 or something. not a complaint or anything, just a thought.

i am aware that one u-4-a managed to survive into preservation, albeit a static museum piece, in Ottawa. That particular engine was 6400.

Yep. The GTW 6405 had been rebuilt and was supposed to be donated to the city of Lansing but the city turned them down. Wonder what would've happened if it had been saved.

no, it's just staying in its place. It will stay indoors permanently, I think.
