Yeah. I just saw the article. I never thought the day would come where I'd be fangirling over Thomas! And this is really good news for me as I'm writing stories about the GTW and I can actually use a Thomas & Friends cannon character!

i am aware that one u-4-a managed to survive into preservation, albeit a static museum piece, in Ottawa. That particular engine was 6400.

Yep. The GTW 6405 had been rebuilt and was supposed to be donated to the city of Lansing but the city turned them down. Wonder what would've happened if it had been saved.

no, it's just staying in its place. It will stay indoors permanently, I think.
