Here's another hazard that happens daily on the railroad, cars being stuck on railroad tracks or racing a train to the crossing. Thousands of lives are lost when a stupid driver thinks he or she can beat a train at a railroad crossing. Sometimes they succeed and others.... well.... you get the point of this picture here.

A careless driver was trying to race a Ryan Lines freight bound for Jerome, Arizona. He put the pedal to the medal, but unfortunately he lost his life and his car. The train dragged the car about half a mile before coming to a complete stop. The police and fire department came as soon as they heard, but the driver died on impact. The driver was to blame because he thought he could beat a speeding train and the railroad decided to make changes to their crossings so that nothing like this happens again.
