I know this piece has already been sold, or 'expired' as Etsy says, how much was this piece? Just curious, if you don't mind me asking~

They mostly create themselves. I'll start out trying to make something specific and then have some sort of design-induced blackout and wake up surrounded by bizarre and wonderful things that are so much better than anything I could have planned. I think I do my best work after two or three days without sleep.

I find it odd(but incredible) that you do your best work after a period of time without sleep. Does not sleeping increase your creative energy?

I'm not sure if it increases my creative energy, but lack of sleep definitely decreases my resistance to it. My brain has always fought against going to sleep or giving up any of its power, so when it wants to keep working I'm pretty much along for the ride. I'm also incredibly prone to getting myself into more work than I can physically do, so I've had to learn to function on varying amounts of sleep. Besides, sleepiness is weakness of character, everybody knows that.
