It's one of my favorite places on the planet. Considered by the travel channel to be the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean. Harbour Island, Bahamas. I worked there for 5 months bringing home a project. Witnessed Vanity Fair and Sports Illustrated shooting their swimsuit issues there. It's gorgeous.

i think this is a really lovely photo but your borders tend to distract me too much.
This would look much nicer and would be complemented much better by a simple black border. ... even if you want to stick with a coloured border, I would much prefer just one colour to keep it as simple as possible so as to not take away from the image itself.
I find the same thing with many of your photos that I would otherwise love.

I got caught up in them, but your words ring true and have not fallen on deaf ears. Thanks for telling me, I do agree. If you tell me which youthink are the worst offenders I will repost them. This way I won't have to repost them all.

This, to me, is probably one of the worst offenders only b/c I would absolutely love it with a plain border.
the photo is so strong on its own that the current border just detracts from it.
I'll have a look though and see if I spot any others I feel similarly about.
glad you're not offended! the photography is great (and that, of course, is the important part.. the borders are easy to fix

I do have another drive for my images, but I still back everything up on disc. My problem is my filing system, or lack thereof. :>

It's gorgeous down there, but brutally hot right now. 105 degrees is not uncommon and 100% humidity. December to May is the season. Harbour Island, Bahamas. Considered by the Travel Channel to be the most beautiful beach in the Caribbean. Pink, powdered sugar beaches, warm crystal clear water, wonderful people.

It's a lot further north.. its about equidisant from Florida , carolinas, and New York.. about 600 miles off shore.. its beautiful ALL the time.. really pretty place!

I was fortunate enough to have worked there for 5 months. Beautiful sunsets, great diving, supermodels. A photographers paradise. Its called Harbor Island, off North Eleuthera.

I used to shoot a lot of models as I had an arrangement with a modeling school, but I left photography for a long time and lost my contacts. I will have to look for a new arrangement for I have a lot of ideas simmering on the back burner. Got to watch the pros work down there shooting Bikini magazines and Vanity fair. The weather was terrible.......Black sky and chilly, and I asked the photographer how he was going to shoot with these conditions.........he said FILTERS. When I saw the magazine I couldn't believe my eyes. What they managed to accomplish with their lights and reflectors saved that shoot. I guess, when your paying models 6 figures a day plus the most expensive hotel on the island, you go, get your shots and get out. They were Eastern European Models and boy could they knock back the Vodka. It's the April '05 issue.......I can send you the cover if you like.

It is considered the most beautiful beach in the Carribean. Beautiful place, wonderful sunsets. Mangrove Sunset was shot on the same island. Want to go back!

That was a place called Harbor Island, a tiny islend off Eluthera, 3/4 miles wide and 3 miles long. We love St. Thomas, St. Johns, Dominica, Curesau. Love the people as well.
