I think it's my older work, before digital. I had to scan it into my PC so it's lost some impact.
they were shot on Ectachrome in my Nikon FM.

I was fortunate enough to capture two dragonflies mating, you may find it in my gallery. The only time I have seen that. Looking forward to shooting more this spring.

Unfortunately It was scanned and is only 72 DPI I will reshoot it next spring.

Yes, and you both are getting excellent results because that's the most difficult way to shoot insects. You have no control over them or the background.

They are only dangerous to other insects. They are all alive and in my dining room, and I release them when I am finished with the shoot. That way I can control the subject and background. I learned this from a four star exhibitor. ( Nikon World, Camera 35, Peterson's Photographic) He taught me much, was my mentor, and propelled my work beyond my experience.
