Description done after the tutorial 'from abstraction to production' from aaron limonick:

[link]

the goal was to create a picture on the base of an ink-splatter picture

and to try to stick with it, to keep the energy and a painterly feeling...

totally out of my comfort zone...

as always – i would appreciate some critique – if you can spare some time...

after a great overpaint from and some help from others i just had to do some changes lighting-wise...

It's lovely.
I would have chosen a more cold color scheme, though.

The ink-splatter idea is cool. The image overall reminds me of Giedi Prime from the "Dune" series

thanx again!

yes i've seen your stuff. i think you're on a good way. you still have to practice some of the basics, like perspective and values for example – that's the reason, why i recommended ctrl paint.com to you
keep going – have fun doing it!

thank you,

I have only been digital painting for about two months whenever i get the time, teaching myself Sketchbook pro and Photoshop elements 10, plus watching any videos I can, just wish I had carried on when I left school but not possible at the time, so any input is gratefully received
