I always thought that line was a bit odd. Why would Dash even want diamonds? And why would the Wonderbolts want to give her diamonds for being so skilled? It just makes no sense! I guess they had a really hard time rhyming "thousands."

Sorry to confuse you, like in real air shows, those performers have to start from somewhere, and most of the time it all begins at the army camp and then they can choose which branch they want to work at, in this case either the navy or air force.
